8 Hour Pre-Assignment Security Guard Course
This pre-assignment training course is a New York State required course for both armed and unarmed security guards. This in-depth 8 hour training course is for persons interested in becoming a licensed security guard. Upon successful completion of this course students receive a training certificate and are eligible to apply for a NYS Department of State Security Guard License.
16 Hour On The Job Training Security Guard Course
This 16 hour On-The-Job Training course (OJT) expands on the 8 Hour Pre-Assignment training by examining how to handle emergencies while on the job as a security guard and how to handle yourself as a guard.
8 Hour Annual Security Guard Course
This 8 hour course is required on an annual basis by New York State for armed and unarmed security guards. This recertification will act as a refresher course, covering use-of-force issue as well as general security practices.
47 Hour Armed Security Guard Course
This 47 hour armed security guard course takes a full week and includes 20 hours of firing range training.
8 Hour Annual Armed Security Guard Course
This is a mandated New York State annual recertification training course for armed security guards.

The security guard defensive tactices course was designed by martial arts master Anthony Stone for the elite NYPD Bronx Task Force while he was a member of the New York City Police Department.
