J.R. GARCIA VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS
J.R. Garcia served in the United States Marine Corp and retired as a Police Sergeant from the New York City Police Department's Elite Emergency Service Unit. During his long and varied career, he acquired a broad range of training and experience in crisis management leadership, executive protection and criminal investigation. His specialized training includes: E.P.A. Hazardous Material; Chemical Counter Terrorism; State Police Heavy Rescue; Building Collapse Courses; Incident Command System; Terrorist Rescue Training; Heavy Weapons Training; Emergency Psychology Training; Structural Emergency Rescue Training; Biological Counter Terrorism; Tactics & Weapons Courses; Dignitary Protection and Warrant Executions.
Mr. Garcia has participated in numerous Rescue/Recovery Missions which include: The World Trade Center Bombing, New York, NY (1993); The Alfred P. Murrah Building Bombing, Oklahoma City, OK (1995) and The World Trade Center Collapse, New York, NY (2001). He received numerous awards and honors from the New York City Police Department. Since entering the private sector, Mr. Garcia has provided consulting advice, management services, expert protection, and investigative support and training to multi-national corporations in the United States. Frequently called upon to analyze standing executive protection operations, he has been responsible for restructuring major corporate security programs. Mr. Garcia managed the executive protection operations for ABC, Golden Globe Awards, and other high profile events. He also provided stress management for survivors of the World Trade Center Collapse.
Mr. Garcia attended Fordham University, New York City.
